Born out of personal tragedy, Monica became a Certified Grief Educator and created Surviving Sunset. She is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.

She aspires to raise awareness about grief within her Asian community and BIPOC recognizes the common silence around this topic. Her mission has transcended from real estate to foster open conversations and support for those often facing unspoken grief within culturally nuanced contexts.

Currently, she is actively working on expanding her role as Certified Grief Educator and volunteers at Bereavement Families of Ontario.  She is also enrolled for 200HR Yoga Teacher Training with Yogaspace Toronto.

With a focus on creating a platform for shared experiences and storytelling.  She extends her dedication to help others navigate the challenging journey of grief. She is surviving one sunset at a time with her oldest son Patrick, husband Jon and grandson Julian (Jordan’s son).

Currently, she is actively working on expanding her role as Certified Grief Educator and volunteers at Bereavement Families of Ontario.  She has completed 200HR Yoga Teacher Training with Yogaspace Toronto and gained her certification.
